Union Station. Roughly the midpoint in my morning/afternoon commute. If you’ve never been inside the main hall of the building, do yourself a favor and check it out. Very cool vintage vibe in there. Also managed to sneak in my favorite Los Angeles building in there.
This is me. (Ellsworth) If I had to describe my style, I would say it’s simple. I wear what I like and I wear what’s comfortable. I consider myself to be dapper. I don’t subscribe to any style in particular. I just like street. I dress street because I’m always in the street. I dress based upon how I feel each day. Variety is the spice of life. On this day I was inspired by my style icon and the most dapper, fashion savvy man on the face of the earth, Nickleson Wooster. Enjoy and feel free to comment. My style summarized is, just be yourself and ALWAYS draw inspiration from EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
California weather in 2 photos. Never varies much from this, with the exception of a few rain drops here or there. Pics taken from Pershing Square where I find myself often these days. Love the contrast of the older, much lower, buildings in the front and the huge modern skyscrapers towering over them. Palm trees amongst the urban craziness that is DTLA sometimes, is always nice too.
Political graffiti I will not try to explain or understand, but here you go. Taken on the the sidewalk right outside the building where I work, though I’ve seen it all along Wilshire Blvd. Interpret it as you wish, I just thought it looked cool.
My job often takes me to courthouses in and around DTLA. I often find myself on foot, and I guess I’ve become somewhat obsessed with taking pictures of this building. To me it just symbolizes Los Angeles. I don’t know too much about its history, but I do know that its been the site of City Hall for quite sometime now. Another interesting note on these pictures is that they were taken months apart yet the weather is EXACTLY the same, somewhere around 75 degrees. That’s Los Angeles for you, and I love it.
And we begin in East Los Angeles. A picture of a photograph being taken. Overpass above the 5 Freeway near the Eastern Avenue exit. Baby girl taking some pretty sick long exposure pics of the traffic below. She’s the real photographer, follow her!
Behind every strong man is an even stronger woman, and this is where this blog will start. I’ve had the privilege of knowing this woman for over 15 years, more than half my life. I can honestly say I’ve fallen madly in love with her. She is my best friend, soul mate, fiance, (future wife), and my inspiration to become a better man. Thank you.
